Leg 1    Seaford Fire Station - Bo Peep - Alfriston - Littlington    7.1 miles 

• Begin on Cradle Hill Road outside Seaford Fire Station
• Head R 150yds along Cradle Hill Rd to where road ends & tarmac path begins
• Follow path for 0.25m until it veers L & heads up short rise to edge of field
• Follow path as it veers R & follow for 0.3m along border between 2 fields to BG
• Cross BG & follow path 100yds to 2^nd BG
• Cross BG onto golf course (CARE!! – golfers playing across route from both directions)
• Follow path straight ahead 150yds to Bridleway marker post
• At post, turn 90˚ R & follow blue posts 300yds over brow of hill & across 2 fairways to BG
• Cross BG & turn L onto path, continuing 0.75m to BG
• Cross BG & continue along path for further 0.5m to another BG
• Cross BG & follow path across field, reaching BG after further 0.5m
• Cross BG & follow path for 0.5m up gradual incline to BG at Bo Peep car park 
• Cross BG & carry straight on 50yds to 2^nd BG
• Cross BG & turn R onto SDW, through another BG & 400yds up short hill on chalk track
• Follow SDW over brow of hill & along ridge (ignore track to R) for 0.5m to BG 
• Cross BG & continue along track for 0.25m to wooden FG
• Cross FG & follow SDW 0.5m down hill to BG  
• Cross BG & follow SDW through hedge & down flint track for 0.25m, before following track round to L & steeply downhill for further 0.25m to tarmac road (Kings Ride)
• Follow Kings Ride (sticking to pavement) 300yds down to crossroads
• Go straight across onto Star Lane & follow down to High St (CARE! - No pavement!) 
• Turn R onto Alfriston High St & cross to other side (CARE! – No Marshall!)
• Continue along High St for 30yds & look for SDW turning to L (signposted ‘St Andrews Church’)
• Turn L down alley, continuing straight ahead down flint wall lined path when path splits after 30yds
• Follow path straight on 50yds to footbridge
• Cross bridge & turn R immediately through stile, following track along river bank
• Follow river bank for 1 mile (crossing 3 stiles/BGs) to next footbridge at Littlington & Checkpoint 1

 Leg 2    Littlington – Alfriston – Firle     6.3 miles 

• Cross bridge & turn R immediately through stile, following river back along opposite bank
• Follow river for 1 mile (crossing 2 stiles) to Alfriston, passing church, village green & finally bridge
• Look for alley off to L opposite bridge
• Turn L & head up flint wall lined alley to Alfriston High St
• Turn R onto High St & cross to other side (CARE! – No Marshall!)
• Continue along High St for 50yds before bearing L at fork in road down West St
• Follow West St for 0.5m to end (CARE! - No pavement)
• Continue straight ahead onto chalk track (signposted ‘Comp Barn’)
• Follow chalk track, passing converted barn on L after 0.3m.
• Ignore tracks to L & R after further 0.3m
• Continue along track, passing signposted track to Alciston on R after further 0.75m  
• Pass through Bopeep Farm after 0.4m & follow path straight across road onto other side
• Ignore tracks to L & R after further 0.75m  
• Continue to skirt bottom of downs, reaching red brick cottage after further mile
• Ignore tracks off 90˚ to L&R & follow path as it bears L alongside cottage into woods
• Follow track for further mile over small hill & alongside flint wall
• Follow track as it veers 90˚ R & on 50yds to Place Farm
• Ignore private road straight ahead and head 90˚ L onto path following hedge across field
• After 0.25m, path meets Firle Bostal road.
• Turn R onto road, following it for 0.25m to road junction & Checkpoint 2.

Leg 3    Firle - Beddingham – Firle Beacon - Bo Peep     5.3 miles 

• Follow road N for 0.25m, looking for post-box on L (located at road junction 100yds from A27)
• At post-box, turn L onto concrete track & follow 0.2m to barn
• Follow path as it curves up small rise to L of & behind barn
• Follow indistinct path 0.25m along border between 2 fields
• At end of path, look for BG partially obscured in hedgerow
• Cross BG & follow path 250yds down through field to wooden FG
• Cross FG & head 250yds up through field to BG (ignoring stile marked ‘private ‘ to L)
• Cross BG & carry on straight ahead 50yds along track to road
• Turn L onto road, following for 0.25m towards downs & base of steep hill
•  Follow road straight ahead for 0.75m up Beddingham Hill, ignoring smaller paths to L & R
•  Reach cattle grid at top of hill & turn L along SDW towards Firle radio beacons
• Follow SDW for 0.75m past beacons, across BG to car park at top of Firle Bostal
• Follow SDW through car park & across 3 BGs for 1.5m up gradual hill to Firle Beacon
•  Follow SDW along ridge for 0.75m, down small slope & across BG to Bo Peep car park & Checkpoint 3. 

Leg 4    Bo Peep – Norton – Bishopstone – Fiveways – Seaford Fire Station    7.9 miles

•  Pass through BG heading South towards coast
• Take RH fork where path divides 150yds after BG & follow indistinct path 0.5m across field to BG
• Cross BG & follow path 0.5m downhill across field to BG
• Cross BG & follow path alongside fence gradually uphill for 0.5m to another BG
• Cross BG & follow path 0.3m across field, past Bridleway marker post to BG
• Cross BG & follow path 0.5m down steep hill alongside hedge to bottom of valley
• Look for path curving off to L & follow 0.3m up short steep hill between hedges
• Look for chalk path off to L
•  Follow path steeply downhill as it widens into track & road before reaching Norton after 1 mile
• Look for stile off to R opposite point where wide gravel track meets road from L
• Cross & follow path for 0.5m uphill, passing telegraph posts & trough before reaching fence
• At fence, turn 90˚ L & follow fence 0.2m to 2 BGs close together
•  Cross 2 BGs & follow path 0.25m across middle of field & then steeply downhill
• Follow path for 0.25m as it passes sheep pens to R before passing through woods onto road
•  Turn L onto road (CARE! - No pavement or marshal!) & follow 0.5m into Bishopstone
• 100yds after reaching 1^st houses in Bishopstone & at brow of small hill, look for gravel track to R
•  Head up steep flinty track for 250yds, to point where it veers off to the R
•  Look for small path to L between two high hedges
•  Follow path 0.5m as it contours along hill, above farm buildings & with thick hedge to R, to BG
• Follow path alongside hedge for further 0.75m, ignoring gates & concrete road to R
• Eventually, path ends & crosses through hedge, joining narrow path between hedges
•  Turn L ontp path & follow for 100yds to ju8nctionj with much larger path at Fiveways
•  Turn R & follow track back towards Seaford, looking for BG to R after 0.7m
• Cross BG & head onto golf course (CARE!! – golfers playing across route from both directions)
• Follow path 300yds over brow of hill & past blue posts & across 2 fairways to Bridleway marker post
• Turn 90˚ L at Bridleway marker post & follow path 150yds across fairway to BG
• Cross BG & follow path straight ahead 100yds to 2^nd BG Cross BG & follow path 0.3m down gradual hill along border between 2 fields
• Path veers 90˚ L on reaching outskirts of Seaford & then quickly heads 90˚ R, widening into a track
• Follow tarmac track 0.25m downhill until it ends & becomes Cradle Hill Rd
• Continue straight on along Cradle Hill Road for 150yds to Finish at Fire Station
•  Congratulations!
